Longest Plays ▪ Opponents
These lists are based on the official records from the 1994 and 2003 media guides, and the 2010 and 2020 stats supplements. I am working my way backwards through older media guides and box scores and have added plays from 2015 to present that fall between the 'official' minimum yards (shortest listed play) and my own minimums (below the category subtitle). The rows for those additional plays will be shaded gray and have no ranking since the data is incomplete. I am also working to confirm plays that resulted in touchdowns (they were not specified in the official lists), even if some seem obvious.

Notes
- NCAA rules allowed one-inch kicking tees to be used for extra points and field goals from 1948 to 1964, and two-inch tees from 1965 to 1988. Tees were eliminated starting with the 1989 season.
