Obituary:

Born in Jackson, MS, Demarrio was a standout athlete from an early age. He pursued his passion for football and achieved great success at Lewisville High School. He was a member of the Oklahoma University football team, where he made lasting contributions on and off the field.

Demarrio was a devoted family man who cherished his role as a husband to Christy Pleasant and father to his five daughters. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in being a loving and supportive father. It brought great joy to watch his girls in their respective sports as he was very proud of all of their accomplishments.

Throughout his life, Demarrio was known for his loving spirit, kindness, generosity, and passion for helping others. He enjoyed traveling with his family and being hands-on in youth sports. Demarrio was excited to watch the kids around him flourish into athletes, and he was looking forward to watching them thrive as they got ready to enter high school and college.

Demarrio is survived by his mother, Susan (Stacy) Lee, father, Dwayne (Maurita) Pleasant, his sister Letrieka (Kris) Evans, his wife Christy Pleasant, and his five children: Tylei Richardson, Amiyah Richardson, Kaelyn Thomas, Daliah Pleasant, and Cherrish Pleasant, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He's preceded in death by his grandparents William and Cora Marie Pleasant.
